RA Summer Exhibition 2025

Since my post graduate degree ( UWTSD Swansea College of Art 2021), my work has been centred around the interwoven natural world we all belong to and come from. It would be easy to be despondent in this era of biodiversity loss, climate change and warring factions. But there is a rising up of voices that give me hope for the future for more than humans and humans alike. I want to sing visual songs of lament for the losses, and songs of pure joy at the way diversity can return and flourish.

I live in a post-industrial valley in South Wales below an old coal tip which has been naturally rewilding over the last 30 years. I have watched, listened to and noted the return of native woodland and the biodiverse flora and fauna that comes entangled with it.

New ecologies are forming. We have shaped the land for generations, perhaps now we need to let the land shape us?
